What is microneedling?

Using small, fine and sterilised needles, the treatment stimulates collagen production within the skin to encourage the natural healing process of targeted areas. The new collagen works to smooth, firm and tone skin, targeting skin concerns such as acne scarring, dark spots, wrinkles, large pores and more.

What’s involved in the treatment?

Administered by experienced practitioners, the needles are worked evenly across the targeted area to encourage an even skin tone with minimum discomfort and little to no downtime after your treatment.

The results

From your first appointment, you will enjoy glowing, rejuvenated and plump skin. A reasonable amount of redness may be present after the treatment but this usually fades within a few hours to a day allowing you to resume your normal, daily activities. All results will vary depending on the skin type and concerns we are tackling. The skin may feel slightly rough after treatment.

Follow-up treatments and at-home aftercare are advised to maintain the healing process and preserve the long-term benefits of the treatment.

The FAQs

The question we’re asked most! Any discomfort is kept to a minimum.
As this is a non-invasive treatment, so side effects are rare and minimal. Redness is the most common side effect, and there is also a small risk of bruising and a small amount of bleeding. All side effects will be discussed during your consultation.
Results usually last between three and five months, depending on the aftercare and how long the new collagen lasts in your skin. For some skin concerns, such as scarring or stretch marks, we will discuss a course of treatments to achieve the best results for you.
Most clients are able to carry on with their day as normal after treatment, although we recommend no exercise or activities that evoke sweating. You may experience redness but this will fade in a few hours to a day.
This depends on the targeted area, but appointments usually take 20 minutes.
Microneedling is best suited to the face, but can also be used for stretch marks and scarring on the body.
